TERMS AND CONDITIONS

To secure your booking, a non-refundable deposit of £100 per Shepherds Hut per holiday is required.

For bookings made less than 6 weeks in advance, the total amount is payable on booking.

IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION

In light of the current pandemic, the following government guidelines will be followed.  If any guest showing signs of Covid 19 whilst staying at The Wright Retreat, they are required to go for a test, the nearest place is Bristol, please go to gov.uk online portal to book a test.  The result of this test must be shown to the owner.  If positive, then all guests in the party must immediately leave the site, return home and self-isolate at their home. If for any reason that it is not possible to leave, and self-isolation is required to take place at The Wright Retreat, then all fees for all bookings affected by this self-isolation will be borne by the guest.

Under normal conditions, the following applies:

If the cancellation is more than six weeks before arrival and the balance has not yet been paid, the deposit will not be refunded.  Alternatively the deposit can be off-set against a holiday to be taken later in the year, subject to a £30 handling charge.

If the cancellation is more than six weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid, then the total cost of the holiday will be refunded less the deposit and handling charge of £30.  Alternatively the deposit can be off-set against a holiday to be taken later in the year.

If the cancellation is less than six weeks before arrival and the balance has been paid, then the cost of the holiday will not be re-funded unless the booking can be re-let and then 50% of monies paid will be refunded,  in these circumstances you cannot off-set against another holiday later in the year except in exceptional circumstances and by arrangement with the owners.

Please remember you are in a woodland camping environment with wild and domesticated animals and other hazards.  Some of the camping equipment can be dangerous if misused. The proprietor accepts no liability for any accident, injury, loss or damage sustained by any resident, their family, visitors, vehicles or personal effects however caused.

BREAKAGES AND REMOVAL OF PROPERTY

Any damage or breakages which occur must be paid for.  Accidental damage or breakages of a minor nature will not normally be charged.  Removal of property other than items intended for single use ie: complementary toiletries and slippers, will be charged for.

COMPLAINTS

Any complaints must be made known to the proprietor immediately.  No complaints will be entertained at the end of the hiring period or after the hirer has departed.  The Wright Retreat is relieved from liability should the accommodation or other facilities be unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control.

ENTRY

The site is accessed by an electric gate which is open until 10pm each night, a gate fob will be issued to each hut at a £20 deposit.

EMERGENCY

We are available between the hours of 9am and 8pm for general enquiries.  In the event of an emergency, we can be contacted 24 hours a day either by coming to the main house or using our mobile numbers – given on arrival.

PETS

No pets are allowed on sight due to farming livestock.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Bookings are from 3pm on the day of arrival, and huts must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure.  Please report to reception on arrival.

SMOKING

Under no circumstances is smoking allowed inside the huts, if smoking in the gazebo or grounds please respect the site and facilities by using bins and ashtrays provided.

NO ACCESS AREAS

These are clearly sign posted and most have a fence / gate to mark them.  Anyone caught inside the restricted area or damaging property will be asked to leave immediately.

DECLARATION

I have read the booking conditions and agree on behalf of all members of my party to abide by those conditions.  I understand the balance must be paid at least 6 weeks before the holiday is due to start. I am over 18 years old.
